Does anyone know of anything more serious than a paint crack in a neck joint?
I am offered a Deluxe with what seems a crack in the paint which goes along the joint all the way to the pickup cavilty.
I've seen these but I don't know if anyone has experience actual issues or just paint cracks.

Any experience with this?

My experience has always been that they're just finish cracks. At this point, if the action is okay and it's not having tuning issues then I think it's probably confirmation that they're just finish cracks and not something more serious.

I have a bead on a Deluxe - 1999 - Gen2 pickups at a decent price. (sub 2K).
Should be decided tonight.
The guitar is beautiful except for the finish crack.
But it's in Switzerland. Owner is meeting with a prospective buyer and prefers to deal hand to hand.
I'll know if I'm in the race later. I'll keep you guys briefed!
