Hey guys,
I have a 97 nitefly and I was going to swap the pickguard on it, but the alternatives I've found are all too small around the neck. Maybe mine is just a baseball bat, but what's the width of your neck at the highest fret?

I had the same problem with my '96. I just kept carefully filing down the pickguard until it finally fit in there around the neck. A PITA but you only have to go through the experience once.

I also have a 97 nitefly and I found it necessary to slide the pickguard into place keeping the points that end up on either side of the neck flush with the body.
