Hey I was just curious if there is any info about appx. figures of the various models that were made/sold or a rough idea of how many are out there? If that info exists I wonder if one could drill down so far as specific colors that were manufactured. Thanks!

Hey @InsideInfo,
There is some data known, but it’s largely about total guitars sold. I do have some old records about production, but, unfortunately, nothing complete, and nothing that notes specific colors for a large span of time.
@Ken Parker estimates 30,000 guitars came out of Wilmington, which, I believe, includes NiteFlys in that estimate; I’ll have to confirm with him.
At USM, 2007 was a record month with 170 Flys produced, but monthly production numbers appear to have ranged from 100 - 150 on average with a fallout of about 25 guitars. That would be able 12,000 - 18,000 Flys total produced by USM over 10 years (2005 - 2015).
There were some standard colors, which you can check in the catalog.

Me to my wife: “Ken produced 30,000 guitars between 1993 and 2003”
My wife: “and those are all upstairs, right?”

for sure that's not enough! Thanks for the info as usual VJ. My wife is starting to wonder just how much more space we are going to need!

Eventually, Fly Clone will focus on identifying the best ways to accommodate multiple Flys by dormer-ing out your upstairs!
