The Original Fly Hardtail Bridge

Post by vjmanzo »

Hi everyone,

Got around to taking some photos of a special artifact given to me by @Ken Parker: the first production hardtail bridge!

Notice how shiny it is! Flys from the very early years (1993 or so) had a shiny hardtail aluminum bridge; later hardtail bridges were a more brushed hard coat finish and, later, an anodized aluminum. The words on the masking tape once clearly read "Not Drilled", which was Ken showing production team member Marvin Jensen that he put the holes in this bridge by hand!

Just a fun bit of Parker lore to share ;)
