Fly Active Electronics and Wireless Systems

Post by Cherryfly »

Hello all.
Is the pre-refined fly active electronics compatible with today's wireless transmission systems? Specifically, the NUX B5RC 2.4G wireless system. I know some of these wireless systems do not work with active electronics (like Ovations built-in pre-amps). An adapter is required on the guitars output jack. Is the same type of adapter required for Parkers? How is the stereo mode affected?
Thanks.

From what I know, Parker guitars are usually pretty solid with wireless systems. The NUX B5RC should interface clean with most Parker active electronics without needing an extra adapter.

I used to play my Mojo with a Sennheiser wireless system and then a Line 6—they both worked fine. As you might expect, I was only able to use the mono output configurations not the split mag/piezo output.

The electronics of a Fly are buffered and “active” in that sense, but they are not “active” in the way that EMG pickups are active. The piezo preamp is, in fact, a preamp, but the mags are not filtered and boosted by this circuit.

Thank you for your comments. The Classic Fly is a new addition to my guitar collection and I did not want to risk damage to the awesome electronics on this exceptional instrument. Pretty amazing piece of functional artwork by the Parker Guitar Company!
