Hey guys,
On a general rule what’s your preferred choice of brand or system to install strap locks on a fly?

I use the short version of the DiMarzio straplocks on all of my Flys and other guitars, and love them. Please note however:

If you replace the strap pins, use the same length screws, so they don’t poke through the upper horn

That’s why I wrote this post. I read your comment about the straps that’s why I asked if some strap locks would fit but now I know that any strap lock need to be used with stock strap screw from the fly. Thanks

You got it
I’ve never had an issue with the screws of the strap falling out of the Fly despite the considerably shorter screw on the upper horn.

I think I will go for d’addarios. I’m starting to get addicted to the brand since I know they contribute for the clone project

How do you like it VJ? I was able to grab one yesterday from Amazon UK for a decent price. Can’t wait to receive it

Late to the party, Loxx works great also
On Parker use 10mm for horn and 16mm for body
Their acoustic sets have 2x10mm and stardard sets are 2x16mm so if you get one of each it's two parker's

I like it very much! Thanks for asking! I have it on an acoustic archtop guitar with a Mono strap and it’s holding like a champ!

Sweet ! Do you have the big mono strap ? I’m also in the quest of a padded strap. I order a very large Ernie ball cloud strap but I heard the mono Betty strap works wonder …

Yes!! I like it very much! It’s bigger than most straps, but it’s very comfortable. It’s on a guitar that is a little heavier than a Fly, and the strap makes it feel like the instrument weight is more distributed whereas the strap I was using previously felt like the weight was on one specific point.
I will likely stick with my DiMarzio Straplocks for my Flys, but I’m very happy with this Mono Betty strap and would buy it again for other guitars that felt a little heavy.
