Hi All,
FB-4 owners seem to be few and far between. Would love to hear any thoughts, advice, etc. from anyone.
Much appreciated!

Hi
@RbtCFuller and welcome!
I have an FB-4…to say that I love it would be an understatement
I’m NOT a good bassist, but my FB-4 is so easy to play that I’m able to do things on it that would be very challenging for me on a different bass.
I love the sound options—the controls can take some getting used to, but you can sculpt lots of different sounds. I use this instrument in my studio, and never feel like I need to reach for a different bass except something novel like a fretless.
I have mine strung up, now, with a low B (then E A D) like you’d tune a five-string and I’m very happy with it. I’m using Fodera 65-125 nickel strings for that tuning and, before that, I used the standard Fodera set they mention in the FB-4
manual.
IMO, the FB-4 is a lightweight bass that sounds great! What do you think so far?

I think it's a good thing my wife met me long before my obsession with this thing began. I may never have left the house and crossed her path. Lord knows, most of my time since I acquired it has been spent down in my cave playing it!
