I need help changing a tremolo spring on a parker fly mojo

I got it by pulling the bar and then switching to floating mode then I came off easy … is it the proper way to do it or did I miss something ?

Plus I see that there is different notches for the spring sides is there any recommendations regarding that ?

Okay I got in the schematics it shows the second slot sorry for flooding as this is my first setup lol
