Rubber Knob
Re: Rubber Knob
Hey @KenanJ—I’m not sure why the STL for the knob is not in the repo, but I have some people looking into it. I’ll let you know when it turns up.

@mmmguitar just bumping this to confirm that knobeez don’t fit …mmmguitar wrote: Sat Sep 07, 2024 6:49 pm Being as the thread was bumped, I'll mention that I intend to put a set of those Knobeez through their paces in my next Fly project, and share my impressions of whether they live up to the guarantees on the listing page (e.g., that they fit 6mm and 1/4" pot shafts, knurled or smooth, and that they remain secure with push-pull use). However, Roland delaying the release of the gear i intend to use them with means that I can't get to it until some time in this next year.
Re: Rubber Knob
Do they not stay attached to the pot shaft, or do they merely not have the depth to push down as far as the other knobs?KenanJ wrote: Wed Oct 02, 2024 12:54 pm @mmmguitar just bumping this to confirm that knobeez don’t fit …

Thanks. In that case, are there enough threads for the potentiometer nut available to shim the cavity side of the pot shaft with an additional locking washer, to decrease the height of the pot shaft?KenanJ wrote: Wed Oct 02, 2024 2:17 pm They stay on the shaft but it lacks depth like shown in the picture

I will check Saturday when I receive 10 strings to try out on my 97 supreme that gives me a hard time getting well setup …mmmguitar wrote: Wed Oct 02, 2024 3:57 pmThanks. Re: Rubber Knob
Those washers (commonly referred to as "locking pot washers" or "star lock washers") generally come in 3/8" (9.525mm) internal diameter. I don't recall if Ken used them in his era of Fly production (can anyone confirm?). In any case, using them to shim the pot shaft height shorter will only work if you have extra, available threads visible past the nut the knob is covering (I'm afraid I don't have a stock '90s Fly to check for myself).KenanJ wrote: Thu Oct 03, 2024 9:47 am @mmmguitar do you have a reference for the washers? preferably in a metric value ^^
