Recently got a used Fly Deluxe and the short version of the story is that the instrument lived on the coast in high humidity and has a lot of general wear + corrosion. I'm unable to get the neck back to factory relief, and as a result can't get the action to be quite where I want it.
The truss isn't very responsive but does still function. I'm thinking about doing a truss reset as described here viewtopic.php?t=174
One specific question I have about this method is what kind of oil is ideal for this?
Anything I should be concerned about going in to this or general words of advice?

Re: Fly Deluxe truss issues/reset
Kroil is the stuff Ken recommends.
Good luck with this! Remember that a little turn goes a long way, so be patient!
Re: Fly Deluxe truss issues/reset
Awesome! Just to clarify, when Ken says "loosen the rod nut, apply a drop of oil," he's just saying to loosen it until the truss is generally loose and then apply the oil on top of the nut and let it wick in - rather than completely removing the nut and applying, right?
