Please help...P44 Pro dead
Hello, I am trying to find information on how to repair a Parker P44 Pro.
I purchased the lovely guitar and there is no sound. Its completely dead.
The battery became VERY hot and started to smoke.
I have dropped off the guitar to a repair company.
Does anyone have any advice on what part I may need to fix the guitar?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Most likely a short either at the battery connection or in the preamp.
The repair shop should be able to figure it out.
Good luck!

Both parts are readily available. If you enjoy the stock switching, sticking with Fishman is the simplest fix (the Powerchip volume pot (B20K) and PCB is one piece of hardware). Graphtech has a more versatile modular system, at increased expense. It's also a more demanding retrofit job.johnsmith152 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 07, 2023 1:04 pm Anyone out there have any advice on the Fishman PCB or the Graphtech replacement PCB ?

Now if anyone knows of a parts diagram, or Fishman supplier in the UK - that would be awesome.
Thanks in advance.

Indeed; that's the current version of the preamp that was in your guitar. Has a technician determined that the preamp needs replaced? Contacting Fishman is your best bet for tracking down a vendor.
The below diagram should be pretty similar to your P44:

Just an update for future users with this problem.....
I received my Parker P44 Pro back from the repair shop today.
They fitted -
GRAPHTECH GHOST - PE-0240-00
This kit cost £85.00 on Amazon.
I would say thank you to all the forum members that helped me out.

Here's to resumed pickin' and grinnin' with that new engine under the hood!
Supplemental info: The above part number corresponds with the Graph Tech Acousti-Phonic preamp; suggesting that the Fishman Powerchip toasted itself (something I haven't personally dealt with - but have seen cases which resulted from a loose pot shaft nut causing the board the piezo volume pot is PCB-mounted to to rotate enough for the battery positive wire to break or fray loose from its solder pad on the board and short out other board components with enough voltage to burn them out).
