2006 Parker USA Single Cut Mahogany
2006 Parker USA Single Cut Mahogany
I tried searching for the info in my title with no hits, I've come across a Parker USA guitar whose SN makes it a 2006, and looking at the 2006 Parker catalog the only guitar that matches the bridge and endpiece, control layout, and body shape is called a Fly Mojo Flame Single Cut. This guitar has a top shaped like maple caps, but it's a nicely patterned piece of mahogany.
Is that unusual?
Thanks.

Hi @dblazer and welcome!
You are correct that the Fly Mojo Singlecut was a catalog instrument and it did have several finish options including the maple veneer used on the Fly Mojo: a thin sheet of maple on top of the mahogany body added for aesthetics. Hope this helps.

Thanks, it looks like it's just a plain Fly Mojo Single Cut minus the flame maple cap, with a mahogany one instead. I'm thinking it's unusual, I can't find any like it for sale anywhere.
Re: 2006 Parker USA Single Cut Mahogany
It's hard to get a good picture of the top because of the curves.
The P and PM models have a different control layout, with two knobs. This has three; master tone with a push/pull coil split and separate volume controls for the pickups.
It matches the Fly Mojo Flame Single Cut layout, but with a mahogany top.

Re: 2006 Parker USA Single Cut Mahogany
The very fine print in the catalog caption that I missed said that the Fly Mojo Flame Single Cut was available without the flame maple top in natural.
Mystery solved.
Thanks for your time and feedback everybody.

Just for fans of such things, here's a better look at what the mahogany top looks like.
Re: 2006 Parker USA Single Cut Mahogany
I personally prefer the traditional fly shape, but MAN, that natural finish is pretty!

Very pretty guitar. I still remember that our local music store had one of those they wanted to let go for a great price, but back then I had absolutely no money..

For reference,
The PM20 is a string thru design: viewtopic.php?t=67
The PM10 is a stop tail configuration: viewtopic.php?t=66
The Fly Mojo is listed here, very similar at first look to PM10/PM20: file:///C:/Users/Barry/Desktop/Downloads/Parker%20New%20Products%20Catalogue%20Addendum%202005.pdf
