7 String Maxxfly
Hi folks
Are much deliberation and angst, I will likely be selling my beloved Maxxfly 7 String. It's in mint condition and I love it, but it's time to let it go to a home where it can get the attention it deserves. It is one of the last to be produced before Parker closed.
Can anyone recommend the best channel for selling niche products like Parker guitars? I'm aware of Reverb, eBay, and a couple of different Facebook groups. Here of course.
Any thoughts appreciated. I should also mention I am in Australia but I will ship internationally so that shouldn't be an issue.
Cheers, Jamie

Hi @jamiecrain,
I’m sure that’s not an easy decision.
I’d also like to help see it go to a good home. Do you have a particular asking price in mind?
I don’t think many of those were made at all! My friend has a green one that he loves and I can ping a few collectors that might be interested. I’m personally interested, but, in general, I’m not much of a seven-string guy, though, with that guitar, I’d probably be inspired to get in the game!
As you likely know, Reverb and eBay will take about 6% once all is said and done and the buyer will most likely pay sales tax on top of it. You can certainly post pictures here for free and use this section of the forum to post an asking price with the idea that the sale would be worked out privately between you and the buyer. I can help share the page too.

I will get some pics this weekend and post with a price.
I love the uniqueness of this guitar and its feel, and in a perfect world I would keep it, but I have other very specific priorities hence the change.
Stay tuned...

sevenstring.org has a few enthusiasts, but you need a minimum post count to use the classifieds. Otherwise, Reverb and the Facebook group(s) are likely your best bet.

Re: 7 String Maxxfly
Ok it’s ready to go, I’ve attached pics below. Hi res on request.
The guitar is in mint condition, one of the last to be produced ever I believe - just a few weeks before Parker closed. Dusty Black. Serial 1504047. There are no dings or scratches, a real beauty. All the case candy included, with two spare springs (10,12).
I’m looking for around $3.5k, and I’ll cap shipping at $100 (I’m in Australia so for most places it’s about $200 normally).
If it’s not sold (or likely to be sold) in a week I’ll try the Reverb route. Cheers, Jamie
