I have one from that same year and I like it a lot. The maple body is a little on the heavy side compared to Flys, of course, and you’d shave off a little weight with a swamp ash NiteFly, but they’re great instruments. If this one has a functional truss, no fret issues, and is priced in a range you like then it sounds like a win!
As an alternative to owning two, you might consider getting a second pickguard with the original DiMarzio pickups and a Fishman Powerchip, or asking a forum member here if they have those parts to sell.
