Old Archtop on Reverb
Re: Old Archtop on Reverb
Yep. I was going to make a post in the other thread comparing it to this fraudulent one from the failed “PJ” SKU, which the seller is claiming to have been personally built by Ken years after selling the brand.

Re: Old Archtop on Reverb
I texted Ken a few hours ago when I first saw this, so I hope to get the details. The headstock inlay that says Parker does look like some other inlays on some early guitars he has in his shop, and that tailpiece is almost definitely Ken’s handiwork as it closely resembled the tailpieces he’s making now.
No carbon fiber or other Ken-style treatments on this guitar and the top was apparently cracked in two places

Yeah—I saw that as well. I was assuming positive intent that the seller mistook that USM Parker archtop for the ones Ken was beginning to build at the same time, a la the Tale of Two Archtops
Re: Old Archtop on Reverb
Yikes. I’d forgotten all about the ad superimposing Ken’s head next to the PJ models.
