Hey all, I recently swapped out my Deluxe’s 9 spring for a 10 spring. While doing so, I found that the 9 spring was twisted, with the T bar turned about 30 degrees.
Is this to be expected of a spring that is 24 years old, or is this an indication that the T bar should be tightened?

Re: Twisted Trem Spring
@Gregsaab, unless I’m misremembering, the T bar is held in place by the force of the spring under tension; and can’t be “tightened.” What you’re describing sounds as though the spring deformed under tension over the course of time. Without photos to go by to see if anything else deformed, I would think a new spring would put everything right again.

Re: Twisted Trem Spring
Yeah, the T bar is properly positioned with new spring — was curious if one can tighten it so that it does not rotate.
