Agreed—very interesting stuff coming from their lab! I’ve been following their work for a while!! I’ve used one of their nu capsule polyphonic pickups and it’s pretty cool! Definitely an innovative guy!

I’ve been following this project on the VGuitar forums. Only dealbreaker for me is the string-thru bridge he went with (trem users are left out; with no room left for a tech-y compromise in mounting a Virtual Jeff or even a surface-mount Kahler without a redesign). Considering each is being built-to-order, I feel wiggle room for hardware could have been better implemented in a production model advertised as being both modular and future-proof. I’m curious to see if all twenty order slots get filled, and what Murphy’s law has to say about the listed potential for delays.

The hardware (bridge) IS majorly disappointing. I'm happy to see projects like this, and wish them success. And I hope they do expand the line.

I don't really see the attraction of per-string processing. Having synths with that ability is one thing (and a feature I've only employed when finding it on stock patches), but who really WANTS to use a separate processor for each string?

I LIVE on the neck pickup (well, at least more than 60% of the time), and have resisted trying a Sustaniac simply for that reason. (Lawrence Winn put one in one of his Flys!) But the idea of infinite sustain DOES float my boat.
