Re: 7-string in San Diego
Good luck! When the owner needs the money bad enough you never know what can happen.
You just need to find someone in San Diego to do the transaction!

just plain lost
Re: 7-string in San Diego
Oh my Lord. What a roller coaster. Literally spent the last week failing to convince myself to order a Strandberg 7. Then yesterday got my invite to purchase the new FM9 after a few months of being on the wait-list, which I did. Then today this. I've got 4 kids and a fixed income, I can't play these lawyer guitar games!
Any of you guys local to this listing and feel like doing me a HUGE solid?

Re: 7-string in San Diego
Wow listing gone already. Didn’t even know there was a 7 string out there. What exactly was it?
Re: 7-string in San Diego
There’s not an official photo of it in any of the catalogs (to my knowledge), but it was effectively a custom shop Fly Mojo in terms of wood combination with the neck profile of the 7-string MaxxFly (which is pictured in the 2015 Catalog).
Re: 7-string in San Diego
I messaged the seller, he never responded. Looks like I missed out on "the one". When I picture in my mind eye 7 strings Parker fly, this particular guitar comes up.
Oh well, at least an FM9 will be here in a few days. Though I ain't gonna lie I'm crushed.

Ha!
It’s all my fault. I didn’t mean to get your hopes up.
Don’t start nothin’
Won’t be nothin’

Re: 7-string in San Diego
As someone searching for a Belew understands, there are way more people hunting for seven string Parkers than were ever built. The feeling of having missed a white whale you weren’t prepared or equipped to hunt at the time anyway comes with the territory. The silver lining is that any Parker resale that pops up and slips through your fingers is just as likely to pop up soon after for another resale. You just hope it’s not from one of the three Reverb sellers who know what kind of a barrel they have you over.

Re: 7-string in San Diego
Was the MaxxFly neck profile standard to all 7-strings (as in also the Fly-looking ones)?vjmanzo wrote: ↑Sun Dec 05, 2021 1:22 pmThere’s not an official photo of it in any of the catalogs (to my knowledge), but it was effectively a custom shop Fly Mojo in terms of wood combination with the neck profile of the 7-string MaxxFly (which is pictured in the 2015 Catalog).
Maybe a hard question to answer since they were never many
Re: 7-string in San Diego
It’s a wider neck with the 14” fixed fingerboard radius, which they started doing to all Flys around 2011 or so.
