In 2018, our team converted a six-string Parker Fly electric guitar into a 12-string electric guitar. The scope of work included CAD/CAM design and fabrication of new parts, a variety of tests and calculations, and modifications and installations to an existing Parker Fly electric guitar. With the exception of the additional six tuner holes drilled into the headstock and the replacement of the stock nut with a nut slotted for 12 strings, all modifications made to this guitar, described herein, are reversible.
