Sorry to see that!
I'll also echo what mmmguitar has nicely summarized!
I can't speak to the specifics of the Fly's construction because I have no direct experience with them, but as a 'rule of thumb', when looking at shock damage such as this, the finish crack will usually follow the wood grain if ...

Re: PM-27???
That's a new one on me, but man that's a beauty!! Never heard of a model 27.
Do you actually own this gem or just came across the pictures somewhere?
Based solely on the low serial number and inlay treatment, I would tend to think that it's likely a promotional prototype, testing the waters for ...

Re: Hornet PM20 Bridge Bushing Thread Size?
I have a PM20 but I can't tell you off hand what the bridge post diameters are, and I have no reliable way to measure it for you.
But I can tell you this: in an old 2005 post reconstruction I uploaded a few years back, a previous member shared that he was faced with the same issue as you--the new ...

Parker Custom Shop Dragonfly in Burnt Metallic Orange/Tangerine
Phil McKnight, the "Know Your Gear" YouTube guy, was a Parker dealer for 10 years and in this YT post he explains how he had to buy a group of rare guitars from a seller in order to get back this one Parker that he had originally ordered when he was a shop owner.

Copy that.
You've just saved yourself from a rude surprise!
Unplugging the cord is very good advice for any brand of guitar (or bass) which has a battery powered circuit.
I have 9 volt batteries that have lasted for years in several guitars, electric and acoustic-electric.

Re: PM20 Pro Parts
I had a look through some notes that I had kept from the old Parker site (circa 2006!) concerning modding the PM20.
At the time I too was considering switching to black hardware but I changed my mind. The only thing I did replace was the pickups.
According to my records those who did make the ...

That’s a PM20, isn’t it? 🤔
For reference,
The PM20 is a string thru design: https://flyclone.com/viewtopic.php?t=67
The PM10 is a stop tail configuration: https://flyclone.com/viewtopic.php?t=66
The Fly Mojo is listed here, very similar at first look to PM10/PM20: [url]file:///C:/Users/Barry ...

Whenever you do fretwork it's almost always an adventure!

What the....?!
I've done many re-wirings on many guitars but this would make me want to just close the cover and go have a Cinnabon!
Yikes.

As a PM20 owner (also with a Bubinga top) I am more than impressed by what you've accomplished here!
To say that the real estate you had to work with is small is an understatement.
I was particularly concerned with the head stock.
Theoretically there ain't enough room there to do what you did ...

Rare 2008 Parker Hornet bass guitar spalted maple
I came across this Kijiji ad today for a Hornet bass!
A very unusual model in the "P" series of instruments and I suspect the seller is correct when he calls it "rare":

Naphtha is the go-to product for cleaning just about everything, particularly grungy parts.
But do be careful using it, it is quite flammable (lighter fluid after all), so good ventilation and absence of any ignition sources is a must. Doesn't do your lungs much good either!

Hello Spicey and congrats on the new guitar, you're gonna love it!
There's a post somewhere in this forum which discusses the names found on the head stock. Mine also says "Hornet". Long story short, nobody really knows why it's on there. Best guess is that it was part of an abandoned marketing ...

Yup, the PM20 is a beautifully made and comfortable player. I love mine.
Generally, I've never felt the need for locking tuners on a non-trem guitar, and the stock ones on the PM20 work just fine, but then I'm not an aggressive player or even gigging or recording so I can see where they would be ...
