Re: Bridge Posts Too High/Low

Thanks for this. The arm itself is what’s shorter on the bass side; the part that goes inside the bushing.

Also, check the image on the parts page to ensure you have the entire assembly for the bridge posts, which includes a belleville washer.

Re: Fly bridge install issues

I just took out ALL of my spare posts and lined them up and now I can REALLY see the difference! There’s the shorty! I guess that means all of my other ones are tall ones. This makes a lot of sense. I probably got my spare set in my gig bag mixed in when I was doing my secret guitar work while my ...

Thanks for the quick replies!
Now that I’m looking at all of my stuff, I did bring some spare parts with me so I am NOT 100% sure that I may not have mixed up the original posts with my other ones.

That picture is with the screw turned to the point where ...

Re: Fly bridge install issues

It just maxes out like it’s at its lowest point. It’s definitely not though because the insert on the backside isn’t flush with the guitar.

Another thought, I did not keep track of the posts, but is it possible that they are different on each side of the bridge?

Fly bridge install issues

I recently got a fly mojo that I’m working on. I have Parker factory custom shop parts like a gold bridge I’m installing on it. Since the old bridge was removed, I can’t for the life of me get the posts and the inserts threaded properly. Everytime I get the screws in both of them, the low E string ...

Re: Ribbon cable install?

Thanks guys! I haven’t had enough time set aside to take a look at everything yet since it drives me nuts to open something up and leave it like that if i don’t have time to complete it. I have noticed from messing around with it for a few minutes that if i plug my strum buddy in then then it seems ...

Very odd thought on the fly standards..

I have often noticed that the non piezo fly standard models have metal knobs. Maybe I am thinking too far into this, but had anyone asked Ken about this? I have seen fly standard models in the pre refined era so I figure he may have some knowledge on this small detail. My theory is this…I saw a ...

Nitefly HH wiring?

After having installed the ribbon cable in my fly deluxe, I was feeling confident about fixing my dual humbucker nitefly until I took the pickguard off and realized how many wires there are. Is the nitefly HH wiring similar to that of the HSS? I can’t find any wiring diagrams for my model nitefly ...

Re: Ribbon cable install?

Thanks for the info, VJ! You’re a Parker fly encyclopedia! Now that you mention the redwood necks, I recall hearing something about those and If I’m correct it may have been when I was checking out your guitar collection on your website! I believe you have two of the redwood neck ones if I recall ...

Re: Ribbon cable install?

Hey thanks! I didn’t even notice that torn ribbon cable in the picture! I have to check, but I’m pretty sure one of the extra sets of electronics I have has the ribbon cable already attached to those pots and everything. Definitely going to check look over it to make sure it’s all in tact before I ...

Re: Midifly Back Plate

I also have a midifly if you need me to trace the backplate. Is the one you’re referring to that employee one on reverb? *seller said it belonged to a Parker employee*

Also I think the backplate is really similar to the nitefly mojo I think? Wiguitar on eBay has Parker backplates..I believe he has ...

Re: Selling a few flys

If my wife wouldn’t absolutely lose it on me, I’d be all over that first guitar! I think I’ve cornered myself in at this point. At least for a while..unless a nylon fly comes around when money is right. She would probably love to get my to shut up about one of those! Looks like you put some quality ...

Ribbon cable install?

I just snagged a complete 94 fly deluxe that will be here Tuesday for $800…electronics are all there but apparently there is no output from the guitar at all. From the pictures it looks as if the ribbon cable. I have two complete sets of pre refined electronics (chips, pots, etc.) and a set of ...

Re: Strings - I tried NYXL and was disappointed

I know it’s an older post, but I use curt mangan strings. I had some custom sets made. Personally I like 10, 13, 20, 30, 40, 50 with the G being wound. But you can design whatever setup you choose. He also makes acoustic guitar and bass strings as well. I’ve stuck with those ever since the first ...

Re: PB basses serial numbers?

Well I got both basses! The one sold as a PB415 appears to be a standard Parker hornet 4 string bass in matte black. Aerosmith Tom Hamilton PB41 bass is a gloss black that is nearly identical from a distance besides the finish..with the exception of one thing..it’s FRETLESS! I don’t know if Parker ...

Re: “What’s This Worth?” Thread

I’ve only been back to collecting Parker guitars again in the past year. My old ones were from back before the USM era. I’m starting to notice pre refined flys starting to go down a little. It was nearly impossible to find one a few months ago for under $3000. Now I see several for $2500 give or ...

Re: PB basses serial numbers?

Great info! I’ve been looking for a hornet bass and just recently snagged two of them that are currently on the way! I always like to figure out the years of my Parker’s. One is a hornet bass used by Tom Hamilton from Aerosmith. As far as I can tell, the only difference is that one is gloss black ...
