Hey I just saw this. Im in Oregon. I will post pictures shortly. Thank you!dayn wrote: Tue May 31, 2022 11:33 am Where in the PNW are you? I'm in Seattle if you need help.
Got a picture of inside the Fly to see if the ribbon is actually damaged? I agree with others that is unlikely and it is another wiring/soldering issue.

Re: WTB Parker Fly Ribbon Cable
I pick up radio stations, with every pup or piezo setting. Some said it could be a cold solder, or a broken ribbon cable. I asked my luthier, and he said he thinks its the ribbon cable. Maybe he fucked it up when doing the repairs, who knows?
Did it start doing this only after your tech ...

Re: The only 2 Parkers that remain in my collection
Late respone.
Gen 2's sound better for sure. Not quite what I would prefer, but an upgrade for sure. The problem is I cannot NOT pick up radio stations in every pup configuration. My luthier seems to think its the ribbon cable and not a cold solder. Those seem impossible to find. He's tried talking ...

WTB Parker Fly Ribbon Cable
I recently had my gen 1 pickups replaced with gen 2 because the people at dimarzio refused to custom wire me up some hotter pups, even though they advertise it on they're website. They sound better, not quite the power I'm looking for (I play metal mostly), but they'll work. The problem is that I ...

Yeah its not the strings. I ordered the gen 2 pick ups. Gonna try that first before fully modding for EMGS.
This image is Gen 1 right? My eyes are struggling.

Re: The only 2 Parkers that remain in my collection
Thank you for all the responses. I was so sad when the original forum went down. So glad I found this place. I've had guitar techs straight refuse to work on them before. But that was years ago. My guy now loves working on them, cause he never sees them. Should I just buy those gen 2's or go for ...

Re: The only 2 Parkers that remain in my collection
I contacted Dimarzio a year ago and asked about getting some new pick ups wired for my Fly. They just told me it couldn't be done because of the size of the cavity. Is there like some super secret way to get them to help me? I found it strange after reading others had success.

Sold my original many years ago to pay for a backpack trip from NY to PNW. Ended up picking these up in a 2nd hand store for dirt cheap. They doubled and tripled in value less than a year after I bought them. I believe the red with green strings is a 98 classic and ...

ISO - P38 Battery Cover and trem bar
I recently pulled my old p38 out of storage with intentions of fixing it up. I'm looking for a replacement battery cover and trem bar. If anyone has any info on some used parts or know where to source parts that will work I would be forever grateful. Been looking for years, but its only getting ...
