My ‘97 Classic’s G slot is worn enough to produce that tell-tale sitar buzz you get from insufficient break angle. I’ll probably use the ol’ smidge of baking soda and CA trick, then file it down with some sandpaper wrapped around a spare string. I’ll bump with results, for the sake of anyone else ...

P series guitar serial # format:
Just providing info. I have a P38 that I bought new in early 2001. It was Korean made and a serial number of P1200153. Which would be MM/YY/Production #. I've noticed that many believe its YY/MM/prod#... but I do not believe that's accurate.
