Re: Wanted: Parker Nitefly water slide decal

I wish I had something to send over, but there’s nothing like that on our site for the NiteFly, unfortunately, only for the Fly. When I was suggesting that a pro could create a vector file, they might use, for example, an image of the original art taken from the NiteFly manual.

Re: Wanted: Parker Nitefly water slide decal

I wish some solution came to mind, @Browndog Owner—we do have the decal artwork for the Fly here, but not the NiteFly.

Maybe it could be remade by some professional?

Re: Mag pickups sometimes at half or no volume

Hi roarmackh —sorry to hear about this issue. We’ve all been in your position before trying to determine where the failure point is and that’s not a good feeling!

Here’s a recent thread where we found success together. Might be good to start there checking some of the suggestions to rule out the ...

Congrats on getting this going!

Bummer about the vibrato arm bushing—that is a thing that happens on the USM-era Flys. Our very own @billy made some a while back that are great! Maybe he has more? You can DM him—great guy!

Re: 09-46 strings with a 9 vibrato spring?

welcome Deft Tungsman !

+1 for what Kenan said about the 9 spring working for 9-46. If the bridge floats fully then everything works and you can adjust the tension on the spring to compensate for reasonable variances in tension. We have a detailed guide explaining that process here , which may ...

Re: threaded rod for balance wheel is spinning

👌 Perfect thanks man. On a side note, do you know if that same part (the plastic receptacle for the threaded rod) is the same plastic part that is in a pre-refine but it's a white plastic part?

I don’t know for certain, but I would assume that it is the same part; the threaded rod and other ...

Re: threaded rod for balance wheel is spinning

I’m not sure how they were originally adhered, but I had this happen on a really neat-up Fly on our bench and we held it in place with glue. Still holding just fine. 🤘

If it’s loose, it will just spin and spin. Maybe the part is still in the cavity? I can’t imagine someone would intentionally ...

Threaded rod for wheel is spinning; rod insert

My question is, what is the threaded rod attached to in the guitar cavity?

The threaded rod is held in place by a notched insert that’s within the cavity; it looks like a circular plastic ring and it lines the wall of the cavity where the threaded rod goes. The rod itself has a cut notch and ...

This is such a great post, Marc!!! 💜 Thanks for the terrific summary of this aspect of the MIDI-guitar terrain—I’m so happy to hear your good experience with this new unit! I’ve been thinking about this again recently for one of my guitars, and this post is inspiring! 👌 Thanks for making that video ...

Hi @LiamIrwin—welcome! You’re in the right place, so check out the original post in this thread; that’s a Fly Classic. There’s a lot more information you can learn about that guitar in the FAQ section of the site.

Re: Stuck Tension Wheel- '97 Classic

Ken would recommend Kroil (or Liquid Wrench), but I suppose anything that can penetrate that area and loosen up whatever’s binding would be helpful. You might not need a lot, so maybe use a q-tip to apply it.

Keep us posted, @parkinthepark!

Re: Tremelo Arm Bushing

Got it. Thanks for clarifying.

I’ve not experienced that issue myself. I suppose it’s possible that the set screw is stripped/worn. Are you able to take it out and examine it?

When I tighten the bushing (using an allen key from back of guitar), the arm’s rotation is way too tight and the ...

Loose Vibrato Arm in Bushing

Hi Gregsaab —have you tried slightly bending the part of the arm that sits in the bushing? You can do this by pressing the arm forward in the bushing while holding the bridge in place.

IIRC, the pre-refined bushing itself does get narrower further down, so bending the arm slightly might allow it ...

Re: IR for piezo

Hey Billy—I very much like the Fishman Aura and have been using them live and on recordings for about five years now. When I play live, my Fly Concert piezo hits a Fishman Aura straight away, but it also sounds great and similar with the piezo on my other Flys (with nickel strings). Here’s a demo ...
