Update: I installed the 9 spring back, and tuned in E-. Working like a charm! Loving the bluesy feel too. What an incredible instrument. Will share photos in different post.

Thank you guys! Appreciate the responsiveness. I tossed the 10 out and will try the 9. I've also ordered a new 10 spring from Billy at Reverb. Seems to be the only source for that?
